The Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Manager is a key position tasked with developing and supervising environmental, social, and corporate governance policies and procedures. They will provide technical expertise on sustainability risks and impact assessments, ensuring compliance with industry best practices throughout the design, implementation, and supervision of operations.
As the ESG Manager, your role will involve various responsibilities to ensure the company's compliance with environmental, social, and governance standards. This will include familiarizing yourself with the ESMS (Environmental and Sustainability Management System) Recommendation Report, coordinating environment and social initiatives, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements across all operating locations. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a corporate-level ESMS and working with the E&S Working Groups to ensure compliance with the ESMS Recommendation Report. You will also report to the ESM Committee and collaborate with HR teams and business leaders across all regions of operation. Maintaining and updating an accidents/incidents register and reporting to stakeholders on any incidents will also be your responsibility, along with ensuring ESG implementation and compliance throughout the company.
The salary of an ESG manager is around €45k per year for a junior and with the experience, you can earn till €65k. A senior ESG manager can expect to earn an average salary of €80k.
