Why choosing an accredited school is important?

In your life, you must always know that choosing the right school is vital and will have a huge positive impact on your future career. One of the steps of choosing the right school is to choose an accredited one, this step is really important because if you decide to pursue your educational career in an accredited school then rest assured you are guaranteed a high quality and good credibility institution that benefits you with a professional education system and opens up many opportunities in your life. Not every school can obtain a certificate of Accreditation since this certificate indicates that the school meets certain levels of excellence. International students can benefit the most from Accredited schools because thanks to these accreditations, their qualifications are recognized and validated globally.

Important accreditations for international students

AACSB Accreditation (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Businesses)

The AACS is an accreditation that rewards business schools for the quality of their management training. Less than 6% of business schools worldwide have obtained this accreditation. AACS accredited schools have many advantages such as being recognized worldwide by top employers and other universities, have employers that only hire their graduates, have more access to recruiters, have graduates that receive higher and more competitive salaries, and all of these schools agreed that being accredited improves the quality of their business programs.

EFMD Accreditation (European Foundation for Management Development)

The EFMD is also a valuable accreditation for business schools in Europe, it brings recognition to high quality academic degree performances. A school that holds this certificate ensures their students of an up-to-date education system as they are constantly improving and innovating it. This accreditation can benefit international students that are willing to transfer credits, go on exchange programs (ERASMUS), or change schools, all within the European Higher Education Area (EHEA).

CGE Accreditation (Conférence des Grandes Écoles)

The CGE is a French accreditation, like other accreditations, it is a guarantee of quality training and diplomas offered by schools with this accreditation are all widely recognized by the private sector which opens up many opportunities and makes it easier for students to enter the workforce at the end of their studies. Another advantage is that it is very rare for students from French CGE member schools to leave their campus without having already received job offers.

Knowing all that, it made my decision easier. Indeed, when I started looking for a school, I knew that I wanted to join a recognized business school and I knew that I wanted it to be in France. During my research, I found a lot of different schools, but I chose Esdes Business School. Why? Because this business school located in Lyon is AACSB accredited. Also, the Grande Ecole Program is EFMD Accredited and the school is part of the CGE. By this way, I was assured of the high quality of the programs and the school in general, as well as the recognition on it. And spoiler alert, it turns out that Esdes was the perfect choice for me, and I am glad that I joined a high quality program, recognize and that will facilitate my access to a job.
