Which master's degree should I choose to become a DPO (data protection officer)?

ESDES Lyon Business School and the UCLy Faculty of Law have joined forces to create the Master's degree specializing in Digital Law and Management. It trains tomorrow's DPOs (Data Protection Officers) and provides them with the necessary skills in terms of data protection and digital law to support companies in their digital transition.

A continually evolving demand

The digital world is constantly evolving and companies are having to go digital. A large amount of data is being generated and this can pose problems in terms of security and legal obligations for the company. The DPO must ensure compliance between the use of companies' personal data (employees and customers) and the European General Regulation for the Protection of Personal Data (GDPP). In the digital age, market demand for this type of position is increasing, as DPOs have become a requirement in French and European companies.

The advantages of this specialization

  • Dual expertise in management and law adapted to a digitalized world
  • A triple degree: the Master's degree from ESDES, the "Digital Law and Data Management" DU degree from the UCLy Faculty of Law, and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from a North American partner
  • An international dimension thanks to classes taught entirely in English
